Clematis Gravetye Beauty was given by Francisque Morel to William Robinson who named it for his home; Gravetye Manor. The 3 inch flowers of this texensis hybrid appear in mid summer and last until autumn in most gardens. The rich red color and tulip shape make it one of the best of its class. It is often grown low in a perennial border or onto a short hedge where one may look down into the flowers. Pruning: 3
