Lemoine, France 1865. Very large white flowers (to 8in.) are often tinted with tips of green early in the season and mauve at other times. The huge boss of contrasting stamens of pink and red are very showy as well. A classic French hybrid from the early part of the first golden age of clematis. Blooms late spring and late summer.
