Hardiness Zones
The following map will help you find your Hardiness Zone. Use it as a guide when selecting plants for your garden. Remember that it's just a guide. Variations occur within a zone and even within your own property. For example: planting on the south side of your home up against the house may actually make the difference of an entire zone warmer. You may also consider planting tender varieties in containers and bringing them in to a protected environment for winter.
Please note: The USDA has just released a new hardiness zone map that shifts most everyone a little warmer. There is a good bit of controversy brewing right now as to its validity so we're sticking with the old map for now. ![]() |
